Dr. Roger C. S. Erdvig is an author, speaker, and scholar who finds his greatest joy in helping to develop emerging leaders.

Roger’s life purpose is to equip those who are on the front lines of raising up the next generation of culture-shaping leaders. He is the quintessential coach— drawing out the best in others while helping them to fulfill their mission.

Married to Lori for almost 35 years, Roger is dad to five children and grandfather to six. The Erdvig household has always been marked by hospitality and a strong emphasis on worldview formation for each member of the family— and their guests. Whether it was listening to podcasts together, reading and discussing great books, or using the Truth Project for family devotions, Roger and Lori have sought to immerse themselves and their kids in a biblical worldview.

Roger has diverse leadership and coaching experience. He has served as a pastor, a lead carpenter in his dad’s construction company, the co-founder and president of one of the first Christian coach training organizations, an educational leader, and a university professor. Wherever he has led, taught, or coached, he has left a legacy of individuals equipped for and challenged to new levels of influence.

As a writer, Roger is co-author of the first book on service-learning for Christian schools. More recently, he has written a watershed book for Christian schools that challenges and encourages teachers and leaders to create learning environments immersed in a biblical worldview. He has also written several short stories that entertain while compellingly expressing biblical worldview truths. In the Spring of 2025, Roger, along with his coauthor Dr. Maggie Pope, released the Standards for Biblical Worldview Formation, the first-ever set of comprehensive PreK-12 standards designed to be used alongside academic learning standards to nurture worldview formation across all subjects and grades.

His latest project, due out in 2026, is a book on the biblical worldview approach to reading and teaching history. This is the first in a series of accessible and engaging titles that will explore a biblical worldview of each of the major academic subject areas.

Roger serves as Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview Formation at Summit Ministries, the premier Biblical worldview training organization in the US. His role with Summit involves speaking and writing to support and equip schools, churches, parents, and Christian universities as they endeavor to cultivate a Biblical worldview in the emerging generations. He also co-hosts a podcast with Dr. Maggie Pope on worldview education called Teach Biblically.
